But I will say this. Cursing is not a sign of intelligence, but is also NOT an indicator of non-intelligence. It's more of a cultural/environmental thing if you ask me. I've known some hardcore convicts/gangbangers/criminals that were VERY intelligent. Note: Intelligence and education are not that same thing.
Plus. I consider myself fairly intelligent and I curse like a sailor with tourrettes. :)

When my sons was ten I taught him to curse. Told him he could yell allegator or allewishah really loud. It was not what you said. God knew what was in your heart and he loved you and recognized your anger and frustration
After returning from working in Alaska when he was twenty he told me he had learned some “adult words”. Practicing them in front of his friends in my presence I joined in. The look on his friends and his face. We all laughed. Have never heard him use them again in front of me.
