I enjoyed Talking Heads’ first two albums back when I was a kid, but David Byrne stopped mattering to me musically many decades ago. The idea that he’s still around making music is quaint. The idea that he’s apologizing for not including women on his album which no one will buy is even quainter.
I didn’t like him when I wa a kid because he seemed too showoffy at the time and I didn’t like his voice. Too pretentious. I actually kind of like some of that stuff better now for the 80s flavor.
