New Orleans police said a 54-year-old woman was given an ultimatum by two men who robbed her while she was walking in Hollygrove early Saturday afternoon (March 3) -- hand over her dog or her purse.
The woman was walking her dog near the intersection of Live Oak and Fig streets around 1:06 p.m. when she was approached by the men, according to a preliminary police report. One of the men wore a black hoodie and the other had a black bandana on his face, the report said.

If staying out of the Pet aisle saves me as much money as staying out of the Alcoholic Beverage aisle does, giving the robbers the dog would almost be a reversal who’s getting robbed.
I have a 95 pound pit bull we recued from a shelter.
He wouldn’t bite you if you tried to make him.
I would take him over any inanimate object.
But since I’m always carrying, it’s a moot point.
I don’t think I would be in danger if I were walking one of our dogs. Our Golden isn’t likely to scare most. But the mutt dog is very protective. He is also racist. I think that is because Mexican is his first language.

Since the dog was obviously worthless for defense of its owner, give up the dog.
I hope there was no hesitation on her part.
I’m guessing they would have used the dog for pit bull bait.
Because almost everyone on this site wants Pit Bulls exterminated.
I don’t carry a purse and I surely cannot carry my dogs.
