ROCKFORD - murder capitol of the Midwest - is down the road from Winnebago.

Not quite...Winnebago is in Forest City....been there many time to pick up a motorhome for delivery.

I too am very familiar with Winnebago county Iowa, but I believe it was in Winnebago county Illinois.

Look at the news site. It is in Illinois - just outside of Rockford.
