I’ve noticed a lot of intentional misspellings recently. However, back in Echelon scare days, people would break up words in odd ways or run them together &/or utilize inventive spellings to evade detection...but that was pre-cell phones and pre-internet....I’m trying to recall if this was only in alternative press publications.

It was definitely post-mimeograph, so that’s not it ;). I’m pulling a blank...could be back when people actually wrote letters. Yes, I’m that old. Memory fail and I have to go to work, now.
