I’ve posted this Schlotsky’s Sandwich recipe before but the buns are so super easy and no kneading. I won’t post the entire thing since it’s long. Don’t know why it’s long as it takes all of 60 seconds to throw it together in the morning and come back that evening and make the buns. I do not bother with the cornmeal, use warm tap water instead of milk and regular all purpose flour. It makes five 6” buns as written but if you don’t like odd numbers, add 1/4 C more flour (nothing else) and it’ll make six.
For the baking pans, I use some little 6” pyrex pie plates and those old little Corningware sauce dishes. Multi use! No need to rush out to buy something new.
It sounds good, cant wait to try it. Ive been wanting to make some sandwich type buns so this is perfect timing.
You say it makes about five? The recipe says two or three, those must be huge!
The sandwich - oh, that marvelous bread. Without that bread the sandwich is nothing.
