Does anyone use a tankless water heater? What brand/size?
Pros or cons?

We are going to be putting one in ourselves.
We have a very small electric one for the cottage because a small tank is not enough. Not only do we not have room for a larger tank, but don’t use it enough to justify the electric usage.
For a whole house, the electric ones just do not work well. They need to be gas or propane.
Pro is that you’ll never run out of hot water like you can with a tank with one load of laundry and a shower. They are smaller and don’t take up quite as much room as a tank.
The con is that they require proper maintenance and yearly cleaning to keep them working right. Expect it to need more attention than a tank.
I’ll ask mr. mm about brands and other pros and cons.
