I have been wanting a water distiller for several years. Not the electric kind that is mostly what you see for sale, for obvious reasons. I believe you can make one with a pressure cooker and some coiled copper tube, if you had to, but you’ll need the right hardware to attach the tube, and you can’t put most modern pressure cookers over a fire.
A heavy metal plate can be used as a heat diffuser, then place the canner over the plate, with an open flame below.
Could be used for water distiller with copper piping (no lead solder), or in a controlled economy,
for alcohol distillery which could produce sanitizer, or with mash, for alcohol production for barter.
