Example...a city boy versus a country boy.
IMO a country boy could survive in the city (he has experienced 'going to town' even if it's a small one), but a city boy couldn't survive in the country (ask 'em how to tie a hook on fishing line, or how to gut one when it's caught...the need to eat incentivizes faster learning)
Though I'd speculate that wise, bright, observant, creative folks could survive in lots of novel-to-them situations if they kept their wits about them; prayed for God's guidance and listened for Him to instruct them in how and what to do.
Actually, on the latter part, even dolts could survive, doing that well.
