I made a practice while studying law, to read at least some of the cited cases embeddeed in the assigned case. I was basically checking hther the proposition the case was citied for,existed in the cited case.

While time consuming, this practice was extremely educational.

The most blatant misuse I found was of Presser v. Illinois; but misuses are not limited to RKBA cases, not by any stretch.

The caveat at the end is a warning that is forgotten, and should be the rub that is the basis for a charge against the judicial priests, that have gone beyond the authority granted by the constitution.
