If he is their patsy, Cruz didn't make it very hard for them with all the stuff he posted online. I'm thinking that may be why the FBI knew about him but did nothing because they knew they had the perfect fall guy. Just speculation on my part but sad if true.

Did anyone else catch the audio or some such interview—a girl student claimed to run into him after the shooting started and commented that she’d have thought it was him. He looked befuddled and they went on their ways—him, evidently, to more shooting. But the other shooting she’d heard was in an area where he was not at in order for her to run into him where she did. Most curious.
