You’re darn right she deserves some props. A 90lb demure female ran with the big dogs. It takes stamina and fitness to race these cars. Most of the keyboard commandos here would soil their diapers to run those speeds in traffic like racers do weekly. She may not have won, but she’s a true racer.

7 Indy car podiums in as many seasons. Not bad. She’s also a class act, or so I hear. A buddy of mine goes to every race at the brickyard and as many social meet and greets he can get into. He’s spoken with her several times and says she’s a real sweetheart.
If by true racer, you mean she ran around in the back and crashed alot, then yeah, she's a good racer. Her talent is right up there with Michael Waltrip (and that's not a compliment).

Yup....I’ve been on the track at Daytona looking down the straight away to the corners and had front row seats at finish line...
It’s hard to put on words how fast and loud it is when they blow past you.
You could not pay me to buckle up and drive around at almost 200 mph...inches off a another car...
