Amazing! She must have done lucrative endorsements. She had no female racing competition for these endorsements. The laws of supply and demand in action.
Tony had 1 win, 5 top 5's and 8 top 10's in his last year in the sport at age 45. That is more than Danica's entire 190 race career with a good chunk of it in Tony's equipment.
You just broke your own argument.
So you're a businessman, would you hire a poor to mediocre driver who can attract a lot of attention or a better driver who has little chance at ever winning a championship? Bringing sponsorship is as much a part of NASCAR as driving. Businesses aren't going to throw money at drivers just so they can drive fast. Business wants to see a positive return on its investment. Obviously, being a woman in a man's world helped Danica but she brought more than that to the table. Besides her feminine attractiveness, she brought more energy, personality, intelligence, and general likability than most, if not all, her male colleagues. There was a reason, Danica is liked. She is doing the feminist thing but without the rhetoric and chip on her shoulder.
-——Most of the keyboard commandos here would soil their diapers to run those speeds in traffic like racers do weekly. She may not have won, but shes a true racer.-——
Yup....I’ve been on the track at Daytona looking down the straight away to the corners and had front row seats at finish line...
It’s hard to put on words how fast and loud it is when they blow past you.
You could not pay me to buckle up and drive around at almost 200 mph...inches off a another car...
She’s get bigger balls than most...
