There wasn’t enough evidence found to charge Shatner with offing that wife-supposedly he told family members he was sick of her crap and was filing for divorce, but there was no violence. I’ve been told drowning someone will not look like anything but an accidental death as long as there are no witnesses, cameras, and no evidence of something else is left anywhere...

He was never charged, but I don’t know how. There were very suspicious circumstances and she was dead at the bottom of the pool. I guess there was no Colombo to catch him.
