The 2nd Amendment was never intended for hunting. It was a recognition that we, as human beings, had the right to defend ourselves from enemies without and within, and that government should in no way, shape, or form, be able to disarm a free people.
Whenever some pollie intones, “nobody neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds an AR-15”, or “you don’t neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed more than a 10 round magazine”, my hackles go up.
