I just learned that one of them was in a classroom and his teacher was killed. He had to walk over bodies to get outside. The other lost a friend who was killed just outside the school How do a 14 year old and a 16 year old recover from that....or ever go back to that school? His boys are alive but they are a long way from ok.

You give them weapons training, and particularly Pistol and Rifle Training.
Teach them at nearly age HOW TO DEFEND THEMSELVES.

While you are WAITING for the police to respond, someone could be losing their life.
All people of a responsible age should be armed.

Hubby and I were just talking about this, earlier tonight....how does a kid EVER recover, from this horror?

You don’t. Not completely. Not ever.

My heart goes out to these kids. Like POTUS said....NO child should EVER have to deal with this kind of absolute tragedy. (paraphrased)

When I was in school (a few decades ago) this type of evil horror NEVER even crossed our mind. The biggest tragedy we had was one of the students accidentally overdosing. We never heard of ANYONE considering injuring anyone or masses.

When my kids were in school, Columbine had happened, and it made us aware of the possibility.

There are signs with these demented kids....other kids just have to NOT be afraid to let an adult know.
