Wont do a thing. From my recollection, the 2005 SCOTUS Decision pretty much states that the police are not here to protect us.
It just enforces the obvious, that they can't guarantee protection and can't be liable for failing to protect everyone. Yeah, I don't think this one will get far unless the police violated some written policy.
