This would be great if in fact there was a real criminal investigation. So who are these these super-secret criminal investigators?
A Grand Jury? FBI agents? Sessions Justice Department attorneys reporting to Rosenstein?
Who else is there that has the power to bring charges?
Doesn’t it make you wonder what century we are living in? Is the US a civilized country any more and who are we to look down our noses at banana republics?

Sessions isn’t doing a damm thing. He and his entire department are conflicted. Does anyone have an answer? Who would this guy “talk” to if he has flipped?
If they used a grand jury would it have to be from Washington DC?
Right, I have yet to see any actual “corroboration” — although the points made generally seem plausible. I had been wondering for a long time why Priestap’s name was not surfacing a lot more, since I knew from the org chart that he was one of the key deputies at the FBI and that Strzok worked for him.

Yeah I get Thomas Wictor on my twitter feed. His main interest is analyzing obscure aspects of Middle East military events, not much on domestic America in recent months.
Anyway, there are certainly reasons to think that Priestap has been helping the white hats and IG Horowitz in particular. But it is just guesswork on our part based on circumstantial evidence that we see in the press. There hasn’t been any official statement to confirm what we suspect.

DOJ IG Michael Horowitz would be my guess. Or some Congressional committees looking at the same things. Either way no one who does know is talking.
I don’t know - maybe it’s one of the “related matters” Mueller’s looking into - in any event, I certainly hope so......
The Priestap talk seems backed up by Rep. Chris Stewart’s comments to Jeanine Pirro on Feb. 10.
Priestap is still listed as Assistant Director of FBI’s Counterintelligence Division, so any ‘singing’ might not be what we would normally think.
He is still head of CounterIntel in FBI; and quiet as a mouse.

Those who have no way to know what he does are always eager to proclaim that he is doing nothing. Their self assurance is in inverse ratio to any actual knowledge.

Exactly right. All this was plagiarized from Sundance at CT, down to the exact wording in a lot of the items. I read Sundance at CT regularly. He and his team are the very best investigative reporters going these days.
