The incident was not part of the takeoff
Perhaps better phrased: the engine was compromised at takeoff.
What does the engine(s) have to do with it at this point?
At that point in the flight, climbing through 6000 would be very normal.
And yes, it certainly could have been a bomb. Some of the video from the crash site shows a somewhat wide dispersal of wreckage, (indicative of an inflight breakup of the a/c which could have been caused by a bomb, but the other ground based surveillance camera video shows a large impact explosion/fire, moving forward in one direction very rapidly, which would be indicative of the a/c staying together and moving horizontally, not vertically until impact, as fuel is primarily in wings.)
My point was that right now, no one knows exactly what happened, especially the Internet Gurus. and very especially “Q”.
