St. Paul must have been black too, because the Roman tribune (chiliarch) thought he was an Egyptian (Acts 21.37-38).
I remember when there were people claiming that Beethoven was black. I don't think I have heard that claim made recently. (Maybe he went deaf listening to too much loud rap music.)
