Yes his hair was red.

The hair on the mummy was dyed red from henna, but it really was red originally.

French scientists studied the roots under an atomic microscope and determined the DNA was for red wavy hair. I have no idea how that is done but they are sure of it.

Ok!

Interestingly, when trying to find a link about the reddish appearance of most mummies’ hair, I only came across racist websites by nutty black pseudoscientists claiming that all Egyptians were sub-Saharan Africans. Reminded me of the time I worked in Barnes & Noble and told a customer that Cleopatra was Greek.

Phew! The internet really is a sewer.
