Michael Smith is still a SportsCenter host
for now. The ESPN personality may not last much longer in that role after he blasted the company for its mishandling of the program. Specifically, Smith is upset about ESPN trying to alter how he and former co-anchor Jemele Hill believed their version of SportsCenter should run.

They say “Politics is downstream from Culture”. I think that is true. The Democrats have invested in the popular culture by building public figures into icons who in-turn spout the liberal line. It’s a self-reinforcing circle-jerk. But bathing innocent Americans in a steady diet of this stuff gets them to respond (vote) for all manner of liberal ideas becasue they don’t have time to think it through. It just ‘seems right’ because the saw a guy on ESPN get emotionally outraged by something — and they sort of like that guy.
It appears those numbers are dwindling since it has become unwatchable!!!
“Affirmative action hire.”
Hard to tell. He writes well. And he comes across as knowledgeable when he’s on-air. But when you’re talking about ESPN you have to remember 2 things: DISNEY and Boston-area liberals. The Disney-angle suggests “affirmative action”. But the Boston-angle suggest that ESPN is just fishing in polluted waters.
The guy has no background as an athlete
I guess that is a foreign concept to someone that expects preferential treatment based on skin color.
The sense of entitlement black leftists have is mind boggling.
I know. And if you look at all the other writers on ESPN, they all look like non-athletes. What they seem to be hiring is jock-sniffing J-School grads. You get their screwed up political opinions as part of the bargain.
I am happy I finally pulled the plus and no longer support ESPN among other channels I never watched.
I thought I might go with with if the other options like HULU Live TV, Sling TV or YouTube TV, but I find I can get along without these outlets also. Plenty of good channels that I can get over my Digital Antenna and my ROKU. So I will not miss any of this Especially ESPN.
Hey, when the Black Student Caucus at any university makes the most silly demands, and that university bend to those demands, you get 2 results: more of the same, and graduates who seem to think that they can push their employer around using the same tactics.
If you’ve been to college, you’ve seen it.
Mocking the entire discussion is an opinion? Ok. Not really, but ok.
I think that’s part of the post. The shift in the media to ultra PC, Afirm Action, ghetto... is killing the media. Yet the either can’t stop or their people won’t stop.
We have to point out the darkness to bring light. In this case ESPN is imploding. Yet they keep blowing themselves up and don’t know why.
Some people like and enjoy talking about it and pointing out details of the next issue.
just my opinion
And what about the women “sports” reporters?
I have always liked the “boxing experts” who never had a fight with their own sister.
