For those of us who just want to sift through information (whether they agree to its legitimacy or not) and not have to read over the bickering, an Ignore feature would be a welcome feature to FR. It might even prevent thread locking.

True enough. But that’s a non-starter for FR. Been asked for from the beginning. Not likely to happen.
