“All the world’s a stage,” is a metaphor.
‘Jesus is our savior,’ is not a metaphor. Simply substituting a different name doesn’t create a metaphor; it merely changes the subject of the sentence.
You do NOT get to define or populate the dictionary for all Christians, however.
WHEN you appear to be insisting on defining, populating other Christians' dictionaries according to your sensibilities, criteria, boundaries--
you come across as
--prissy
--Pharisaical
--starchy
--narrow
--unreasonably and unnecessarily rigid
--stubborn
--lifeless
--dead works oriented
--petty
And at that point--it does not matter what your intentions; your criteria etc. are.
The perception of the above is in the eye of the beholder.
However, it does have implications for trying to share your Jesus--usually--the average pagan wants nothing to do with the Jesus offered by someone who comes across in those ways.
As Qx has said to me so many times:
God is Holy--
He's not prissy
His Biblical mentions of poop demonstrate that clearly enough.
I notice you never did reply to my query about DOING UNTO OTHERS on these threads.
