With a day to go before kickoff, four reported million-dollar bets have already been placed on Super Bowl LII -- all on the underdog Philadelphia Eagles. A bettor on Friday at William Hill placed a $1 million money-line bet on the Eagles at +155 odds. If Philadelphia pulls the upset over the New England Patriots, the unnamed bettor would net a $1,550,000 profit.

I think the Eagles should win pretty easily.
I’m a Giants fan, and I have the two SB wins against Belichick and Brady to fall back on, so I don’t regard the Pats as unbeatable.
I think the Eagles have the right type of defense to contain Brady and the right type of offense to attack the Pats defense.

Not quibbling, but the net profit would be around $700,000.00 after taxes. If Gov. Jerry Brown had his way, the net profit would be about $4.25.

Or maybe I’m just too cynical. We’ll see.
I’m ambivalent on either team since I’m in L.A. but I think it’s a fools errand to bet against the percentages.
