Listening to Coast to Coast on way to work - was a guy talking about his documentation of the real Cooper, who had extensive “military training” which would have permitted him to jump unscathed. Claims DBC is living with third divorced wife in SoCal,

Some guy calls in saying while walking in the evening near where DBC could have landed, he saw a guy in a creek with two bags - guy asks him to help gather the cash from the broken bag.

More CtoC entertainment or something else?

The problem with these infamous old cold cases -- DB Cooper, Black Dahlia murder, Zodiac Killer, Jack the Ripper, others -- is that there isn't much in the way of evidence of any kind, which is why they weren't solved in the first place, and needless to say no new evidence. Also, none of the hobbyists who study and research are going to agree with one another, for a variety of reasons, so there will never be a generally accepted solution. If there were a diary that emerged with the exact details of the Jack the Ripper killings, and the author was known, and enough details of his (or her?) life known from other sources that he (or she?) could clearly be the killer, I'm convinced those with their pet suspects would never accept the identification, and spend the rest of their lives picking holes in it. :^) Scotlan Yard not only closed the case on the Ripper, the files are sealed, so only a very few vintage clues are available for study. The excuse given is, and get this, they don't want to endanger their network of informants.

Their network of informants.

The last of the Ripper murders was 129 years ago. The last informants have been dead probably 70 years or more.
