Yes. You do need to point it out as satire. I never would put this past the media. It’s not like I watched the freak show.
For readers whose Brevity setting is "Headers" instead of "Text," placing the note in the text--instead of in the title--hides that note from their version of the index pages.
I appreciate knowing, without having to open a thread, that the original poster hasn't breathlessly believed satire, attempted satire, or something from an openly fake "news" site. Yes, I've seen a few examples.
