Wanting to build is not necessarily the same thing as wanting to nationalize. It should be noted that we are continually reminded that the government isn’t all that good at running things and probably shouldn’t be in the communications business, IMHO.

I agree in general - but Internet connectivity is starting to achieve utility status, in the same way that electricity or running water are. We wouldn't countenance having other utilities subject to tampering or disabling by a foreign government - why do so for Internet connectivity?

I keep thinking of all the lawsuits by the environmentalists will drag out construction and servicing for years.
