Scripture says the deception IF it were possible would deceive the very elect. Though that could sound like the church, I submit it will be those who are about to refuse the Mark of the Beast

Being pre-trib, I believe this speaks of a time when the remaining world will be divided between a majority who will worship the image of the Beast (Antichrist) and a minority who will refuse the Mark of the Beast unto death.
