I think your heart's in the right place and that, taken at face value, you are a patriot.
I heard of Q, here on FR, just a few days ago. I, too, have been digging, researching to see if I can find any reason that I should believe he/she/they are legit and on our side.
So far, I haven't found anything concrete that's been predicted that paid off later. I started with just the basics. He is supposed to be so named because of the security clearance he has and shares with only the highest cleared folks like the president himself. I know some things about security clearances and am not aware of a "Q" security clearance that the president would have. "Q" is a clearance that exists only within the Department of Energy, and is only equivalent to a "Top Secret" (TS) clearance. Maybe (TS/SCI) which is not all that unique.
So far, if I can't verify something even that basic, without being referred to, by people who've been on FR for only a couple of years or a couple of days, as a troll or disruptor or "Q denier", I'm not exactly sold.
I've been around here for a while, and I've seen this kind of crap, here, before; where a substantial number of people follow someone, who claims to have inside knowledge of things in high places, down the rabbit hole. Only to be burned and made fools of later.
Why does he have to be so cryptic? Why can't he make a specific prediction about something? (A post from 14 months ago that references 7 people in a secret meeting...that is now "verified" by a mention in a text message regarding a secret society is pretty thin "verification"). Why are you still looking for a shred of information that would make you a true believer?
I'm not sold. I'm increasingly less and less so.

Q is likely a group that alternates posting.
The reason the Q Group has gathered a reputable following of people who should know better (most who were initially skeptics) is because of dozens of predictions that would be confirmed days or even hours later. Too many predictions became true to discount the Q Group.
FUTURE PROVES PAST is a frequent signoff of the Q Group.
The Q Group is thought to contain the President at times.
As for a ‘Q’ Security clearance, as a Rickover engineer and spec op officer, I received a level of clearance that was so special that even the name of the clearance was classified. TS clearances are actually lower clearances. Descriptors for higher and highest clearances are unknown to almost every person including those with TS and SBI level clearances.
