I agree with you wizkid. Newman repeatedly tried to put words in Peterson’s mouth, claiming that he said them. So they were hallucinations - on one level.
On another level, they were simply a case of someone with an agenda, sticking to that agenda regardless of what was said to her.
A stupid, ideologically-driven hag.
The Jordan Peterson video and Scott Adams here (about 15 min in) are both instructive.
Call it Cognitive dissonance or hallucination - doesn’t matter. She was flummoxed into blabbing inane talking points, and that’s how you know you’ve beaten a lib in a discussion. BUT they’ll never admit that, so it’s the only way you know.
So, it’s helpful to plan in-advance the delusions they’ll throw at you, because it can be enraging and/or confusing - and when that happens, you lose the edge.
