The 51 Popes and the Christians they led for the first 500 years of the Church disagree with your statement.

It is pointless to argue with someone who is willfully ignorant of the facts. There is no question there has always been a Bishop of Rome from The earliest days. He would have been the papa to that congregation and the surrounding churches. However there were equally powerful and authoritative figures in Alexandria, Antioch, Jerusalem, and Constantinople Who did not recognize the primacy of Rome for several centuries. Please don’t bother responding until you’ve done some research like Schaff’s history of the church, or other histories that are not Roman revisionism. Thanks and God bless. By the way I was raised in Roman Catholic Church all the way through confirmation. But I was born again in 1976. I am now pastor of a nondenominational church, even though I am Or Dane Anglican priest. With a doctorate, D.Min.

Really, 52 Popes? The only one who counts is God.
