I am not one of the smart people I was referring to. There are plenty of REALLY smart people here. Way smarter than me. Reformedliberal comes to mind as an example. I grokked what I saw.
What I was referring to was when he said repeatedly that he didn't want to "confuse" his main point by having us miss the forest for the trees. I'd like some detail on why he says what he says. He seems to have those details but is withholding them. I say let our smarties have a look under the hood. The surely can grok.
