The other party is named Bill Moran, and is the editor of Sputnik, which is something on line. It's hard to figure out exactly what, because so many different media entities use that name.

The lawsuit seems to stem from some sort of weird comedy of errors. I'm not sure about Bill Moran, but Eichenwald seems to have issues of various types.

Perhaps someone can explain what's going on in this case. I never heard about it until I read this article. I'm tempted to mention Henry Kissinger's old quip about the two sides of the Iran-Iraq war, but that might not be fair.
