Oh I agree that Willams should have let Diggs catch the ball and then tackle him and the game would have been over but I can understand Willams possible fear on a pass interference cal because the Saints were called all game on some major pass interference calls against them.

When you look at the play from behind, it is almost comical how much Williams missed Diggs by. He had a clear shot at him and all he had to do was let him come down with the ball. Williams missed him by several feet and was way to the right of him. It looked for all the world like he intentionally missed him.

Yup, since a game can’t end with a defensive foul, the Vikes would have had at least a Hail Mary shot left.

I really didn't care who won, except that my oldest daughter (for reasons that aren't clear to me) is a big Saints fan. I missed the first quarter, but was told by some people at the local bar that the pass interference calls were pretty questionable.
