This statement makes me very nervous. If on the other hand he gets the wall NOW not in 10 freakin years and kills off chain and the eliminates lottery in exchange for giving the invading dreamers a path that’s probably as good as we are going to get. It’s not like we have the POTUS and the House and the Senate, oh wait.

In every speech and interview I have seen Trump talk about it he has indicated that he will NOT deport DACA inmigrants and that he will treat them with ‘compassion’
He is also trying to get some legislation that will be bipartisan.
So why is everyone surprised? he is doing what he said and what he signaled he would do.
800,000 is a lot less than 11 million plus, specially if he gets the wall and enhanced border security.

So he doesn’t want to run for re-election. Better start planning for the Pence 2020 campaign.

I think these people were derided as “pearl-clutchers” earlier in the year.
(As for me, I’ll keep my powder dry for right now until I see what evolves. POTUS has pulled too many rabbits out of his hat to discard him for this issue yet)
The House and Senate do like Trump and he will never get what he wants. He has to fight for everything he can and that means there has to be compromise. It doesn’t matter if the Republicans control both houses, the last year should show you that he can’t get all he wants. He will be lucky to get a few things done and that is just the way it is.
Some people here clutch pearls at all opportunities if something is not 100% what they want. I’ll support this process.
