Might have been a "We have bills to pay" tour, that older bands occasionally go on. CSNY did one that I went to, about the same time as Fleetwood Mac. Was marginally better, but still mediocre.

I'm sure that they didn't reach their status by phoning it in, originally.

OTOH, I saw the Stones 10-12 years ago. Best stadium show I've ever seen, and I'm not really a fan. Completely blew me away.
