They’re setting up an excuse for why there is no observable global warming.
When NOTHING is observed, they’ll say: “See, that proves our theory is correct. It just barely cancelled out the global warming.”
If it actually gets colder, they’ll say: “See, this proves we’re in a mini-ice age and have to still be on guard against global warming as soon as the ice age stops.”
In other words, don’t you worry about the weather just send Al Gore money.
