We had that same gadget, for our whole house sound system over a DECADE ago! (Maybe you bought our old one :)
I keep it! Some I’ve bought for my coworkers. My coworker wanted to find a cassette player. He’s my age (58) and has tones of cassettes from the 60’s - 70’s. I went out hunting and found a very clean JVC dual player for $9.99. Works! When coworkers or family need mice, keyboards and so on I have a stash that I give. No need to pay 30 bucks retail for this stuff.
