Coolest thing I ever got at a thrift store was a copy of the book 'Failure Is Not An Option' by Gene Kranz, NASA Mission Controller.

Grabbed it, paid for it, took it home, and when I opened it up to read it, there was an autograph plate. Yes, it was a signed edition!

I got an autographed Clive Cussler, Raise The Titanic book from the thrift shop once.

Also a few books from the 1800's that are interesting to me, but not really worth very much otherwise.
