Me too, that and the erector set. One of crowning achievements as a lad was changing the gearing and getting Mr. Machine to walk backwards.

My favorite toy was Mr. Machine also. My father knew that I was a ‘gearhead’ and bought it for me Christmas.

While my original one was lost in a move, I have an another original one. My father always called me Mr. Machine from the time I was 4.
