I was obsessed with planes when I was a kid, so this was at the top of my list in 1970....

I had one of those, but I was really too young. I wanted to see what the rocket looked like from the top while launching, and "shot my eye out". Christmas Story, seventies version.

Remember the “water powered” rockets? You’d fill the 1st stage up with water, and air pump the heck out of it, then press the launch button and whoosh - up it’d go on a stream of water.
