How many of the bad guys are of color or female?

As best I can recall, zero...

The larger problem with this installment, and really, with all of the movies made since "Return of the Jedi," is that the storylines are poorly written rehashes of the first three films - this film had moments and characters (and almost word-for-word reused lines of dialog) from all three of the original trilogy's films. There was the escape from Hoth from "The Empire Strikes Back," there was the Emperor/Vader/Luke confrontation from "Return of the Jedi," a little of the AT-AT battle from the opening of "The Empire Strikes Back," and some of the sneaking around/infiltration of the Death Star from "Star Wars." All of it done pretty ham-handedly, to boot.

There is also no real character development, or anything interesting about the relationship between characters. Throw in the whole SJW angle (all "good" guys are either minority and/or female, and the "bad" guys are ALL white AND male), and I was left feeling like I had wasted both my money and my time. The special effects were outstanding though... but it hardly makes it a film worth seeing, IMHO.

Well, to be fair, Captain Phasma is female and a villain (though I can probably forgive her being forgotten since she pretty much lives in her Stormtrooper armor which lacks any tertiary sexual characteristics obviously).

I think there were a few instances of Asians and females aboard the Supremacy based on what I’ve read in the Visual Dictionary of The Last Jedi, and I think there was one other female Stormtrooper in The Force Awakens (she’s the one who reported to Kylo Ren about there being a sensor alert in Hangar 718).

But yeah, beyond that... they’re a minority among the bad guys.

And I won’t comment on The Last Jedi yet since I haven’t seen it (preliminary-wise, it’s got more to it than The Force Awakens, though the fact that it resolved several plotlines a bit too soon seems to be a mark against it). But I do know that, after the messing up of Star Wars Rebels, the Aftermath Trilogy of books, the Lords of Sith debacle, The Force Awakens, and of course their screwing up Battlefront II with both a false advertising campaign and the mess with the loot system, I’m cynical about Star Wars future under Disney.
