Apparently, these scientists are either unaware or have forgotten that there is an ancient rift valley running up through the middle of New England where the Atlantic almost started. They’re probably just detecting the plume that nearly kicked that process off, which (presumably) got superseded by the current process.
hey, I was re-reading the first chapter of Genesis and I wonder if that big zit is how the plates started moving around in the first place to separate the waters?
Gen 1:9 Then God said, Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear; and it was so. 10 God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good.
I also noticed that He said it was good after certain days but at the end of the 6th day He said it was VERY good. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts, eh?
