Pats fan to the core, here, and yep, I think your Steelers were jobbed. Yes, I understand the letter of the law, but c’mon, that was a catch.

___________

Bless you.

They have to change that rule.

I guess we may be seeing you again in the near future.

:-)

By the way do you remember the blocked field goal (and illegal forward lateral) in the Steelers 2001 AFC Championship loss to the Patriots? That was obvious. I think the lateral was around the 50 yard line.

The great sports writer Thomas Boswell from the Washington Post wrote an entire article about that blown call that killed the Steelers.

Here's the play. The guy who laterals the ball releases it on the 50 yard line and the guy who catches it is clearly nearly two yards over the 50 yard line when he catches it. The guy who lateraled was running so fast that it cause the ball to go forward to the guy who caught it. (stop the action and you will see it very clearly).

I noticed it at the time and was so pissed off. I think our coach had already used his "challenges" at the time. I could be wrong on that though.

Anyhow....... these Patriot/Steeler games are nearly always epics.

Be well.
