Right. I think the dogs would paw around in the blood normally, but in a mauling like that, they would be covered in it. There is a surprising amount of blood in a human body.
Yeah, and it doen’t take all that much to make a BIG puddle.
I’m just suggesting one way to be sure.
No mention of wounds on the dogs, if their master had been attacked by another animal, I would expect them to have fought it and been slashed or bitten in the fray.
