For *years*, the liberals in MD sobbed over the poor black bears, protecting them from big mean men with guns.
No matter what havoc or ruin the bears caused, no one was allowed to even look at them wrong.

So then, the bears made their way down into the suburbs, where the liberals lived their cozy, Disney lives and began to wreak havoc, there, as well.

And after they did, as if by magic, we suddenly had a “bear season” and eventually, the rigid “no harm” laws have evolved into “if you or yours is in danger, you may shoot the bears”.

Thank God.

On a humorous note (if I may in this unfortunate thread) I live in a blue state, and they have scads of restrictions regarding wildlife.

They instituted a trap ban, which banned the use of traps that could trap beavers, and we had a wild period of time where an upscale place got flooded by out of control beavers!

They obtained a dispensation to allow for trapping of beavers...that trappers were happy, the residents were happy, and no doubt, someone had a item of fur that made them happy.

All because we had to get the government out of the way from damage they deliberately and thoughtlessly implemented.

They need control.
