Of course, with “real Communism,” you don’t need money. You just go to the store and pick up what you need. People farm, and work in factories, and send stuff to the stores because they believe in Communism.
“Prices,” in the minds of bishops, college kids, etc., are just a way for “the rich” to take money from “the poor.” They really believe that society would be much more “just” if “prices” were abolished. The fact that prices communicate vital information in a billion directions at once has never crossed their minds.
In a “real” communism, you don’t need money. The government gives you what you need. But it’s only enough to keep you alive and working for the state. If you decide to strike instead of work, they execute you. That’s exactly the way it was in the Soviet Union.
