Rabbits are not native to Australia-the Brits brought them over there for whatever reason-they multiplied and now compete for food resources with the native species. Cats and foxes are also introduced species in Australia-people did not realize a couple of hundred years ago that introducing non-native species to an area is a very bad idea-think pythons in Florida...
That little animal is too cute-I can see them being bred and sold for an exorbitant price as house pets for the well-off...
The rabbits eat the same flora and therefor take away habitat.............
