Damnit, it's not an old wives' tale! It's been proven through hundreds of coroner reports.
That is nonsense. a) Most heart attacks take several minutes to cause death and the fall would be much shorter. b) There is no way at all for a coroner to tell if a person had fainted prior to impact.
Feel free to show me a coroner’s report that definitively establishes time of death as taking place after someone jumped off a roof but before they hit the ground.
A jump from a ~1,000 foot high building would take eleven seconds so that means the coroner is establishing a time of death in a very small and very specific time-frame.
